Erreurs courantes chez les hispanophones

1. Using "the" instead of "my/your" with body parts:

In Spanish, you often use "la" or "el" (the) with body parts. But in English, we usually use possessive adjectives like my, your, his, her.

  • Faux : I hurt the hand.
  • À droite : I hurt my hand.
  • Faux : The head hurts.
  • À droite : My head hurts.

2. Forgetting irregular plural forms:

Most body parts add -s for plural (e.g., hand becomes hands). But some are irregular.

  • Faux : My two foot are big.
  • À droite : My two feet are big.
