When you learn English, it is good to know words for your house. Your house has different rooms and many things inside.

Words for the living room
The living room is a place where you relax. You can sit with your family or friends here.
- A sofa is a long, soft seat for two or more people. You can sit or lie down on it.
- An armchair is a comfortable chair for one person. It has arms to rest on.
- A table is a piece of furniture with a flat top. You can put things on it, like books or drinks.
Words for the bedroom
The bedroom is where you sleep. It is a private room in your house.
- A bed is the most important thing in a bedroom. You sleep on a bed.
- A cupboard is a piece of furniture with doors. You can store clothes or other things inside a cupboard in your bedroom.
Words for the bathroom
The bathroom is where you wash yourself. It has water and is usually a small room.
- A bath is a large container. You fill it with water to wash your body.
