What are the main rooms in a house?

What do we do in each room?
Each room has a special purpose. Think about what you do in your home:
- In the living room, we often watch TV ou read a book. I watch TV in the living room.
- In the kitchen, we cook et eat. My mother cooks in the kitchen.
- In the bedroom, we sleep. I sleep in my bedroom.

Spanish speakers sometimes forget to use the article “the” before the room name:

Remember to use living room as one phrase. Do not say “room of living” (a direct translation from Spanish):
