Who are your parents?

Your parents are your mother et father.

In English, we often use shorter, informal words:

  • Mum (for mother)
  • Dad (for father)

For example:

  • My mum is happy.
  • My dad is tall.

Do you have brothers or sisters?

Your brothers et sisters are your siblings.

  • If you have a boy, he is your brother.
  • If you have a girl, she is your sister.

For example:

  • I have one brother.

Who are your grandparents?

Your grandparents are your mum’s or dad’s parents.

We use these words for grandparents:

Erreurs courantes chez les hispanophones

  • Confusing mum et dad: Remember mum is female, dad is male.
