PRE-A1✏️ Grammar⏱️ 読了時間:4分
We use there is to talk about one thing and there are to talk about two or more things. These essential phrases help us describe what exists in a specific place or situation. For example, if you want to say that one computer is in the classroom, you say There is a computer in the classroom. If there are several students, you say There are many students here. It’s a fundamental structure for describing rooms, cities, or any location. Think of it as answering the question “What is here?” or “What exists?”. Remember, there is is always for singular nouns, and there are is for plural nouns. Mastering this simple rule will help you speak about your surroundings clearly and confidently from a Pre-A1 level.
